The ability of air to contain water depends on the temperature of the air.

Cold air can contain less water than hot air. This is the reason why indoor air becomes dry in the winter.
For example: air with a temperature of 0˚ and with a humidity of 50% RH, heat up till 20˚, after this the humidity will be 13 % RH. In northern Scandinavia it is not unusual, that the humidity is under 10 % RH in the winter. A humidity that low can cause a lot of inconveniences, such as static electricity and floating dust that arises because cleaning becomes more difficult when the dust becomes static.

Inconveniences

Like dry mucous membranes and nose-bleeding occurs often. Those inconveniences can be rectified by maintaining a humidity of 30-50% RH. With equipment from Unifog Denmark ApS it is possible to control the humidity on the exact wanted level. In the summer the humidity is often more than 50% RH, so there is no risk by humidifying the air up to 50% RH. Atomization is so fine that the water is being absorbed by the air immediately. The water can be cleaned with reverse osmosis, “that removes 98% of all minerals and salts from the water”. Besides reverse osmosis you can treat the water with UV lightning and “Environment filter”.
Who takes away possible remains of bacteria, so any risk of (bacterial formation) is minimised.
